Jeff van den Eikhof
Owner and Principal Engineer

Jeff is the owner and Principal Engineer of Eikhof Design Group and has over 27 years of engineering experience. He has worked in the Public and Private sector and is formerly the Contract City Engineer for the City of Guadalupe. He has also worked for the City of San Luis Obispo as a Civil Engineer and the City of Atascadero as the Deputy Director of Public Works.

Jeff graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1994 with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering.  He is a Registered Civil Engineer in California and formerly held an engineering license in Oregon where he started his career.  Jeff and his wife, Vicki, of nearly 30 years have four children. 

 

Jeff enjoys volunteering in the community and has served in various capacities, including President of the ASCE San Luis Obispo Branch in 2003.  He currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Atascadero.

 

Jeff also enjoys participating in the theater arts in San Luis Obispo County and has been a member of the Cuesta Master Chorale, performing in the Cal Poly Performing Arts Center. In the Summer of 2018, Jeff played the role of Captain in North County Theatre Works musical production of "Anything Goes." Jeff has also traveled to Scotland three times as a chaperone to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The first trip was in 2014 when he traveled with 30 students from Atascadero High School Theatre Arts Program who performed "Footloose" at the Chapel Hill Theatre.  The second trip was in 2017 with students of Templeton High School Theatre Arts Program who performed "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Chapel Hill Theatre. The third trip was in 2019 when the Templeton High School was again invited and performed "The Addams Family". Jeff also performed in the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, NY, in 2013.

Jeff is an Eagle Scout and served as the Boy Scout Troop 176 Executive Director from 2014 to 2018.

Geoff English
Project Manager

Geoff English retired from the position of Director of Public Works for the City of Arroyo Grande in 2017, a position that he held since 2012. Geoff’s municipal service career started in 1987 when he worked for the City of Santa Fe Springs in Southern California, followed by a relocation to the City of Atascadero in 1990. His career in Atascadero spanned nearly 23 years and included positions in the Community Services and Public Works Departments where he last served as the Deputy Director of Public Works for Operations.

 

Geoff currently lives in Templeton where he resided with his wife of 29 years, Celeste, who passed away in 2017. Geoff has two adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a beloved granddaughter. Geoff currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Templeton Community Services District. He is also currently active with volunteer efforts for the El Camino Homeless Shelter, Templeton Historical Society, and Life Community Church. His previous volunteer activities included leadership participation with Boy Scout Troop 434, Cub Scout Troop 434, and Templeton Little League. When Geoff isn’t working, he enjoys hiking and backpacking.

Office Staff and CADD Drafters

Andrew Sedley is an assistant engineer who graduated from the University of Utah in 2018.

 

Eikhof Design Group also has other part-time employees that assist with various office functions.
